Auch dieses Jahr war es wieder HOT! HOT! HOT! am Openair Frauenfeld (das kurze Gewitter am Samstagabend ignorieren wir jetzt einfach). Anstatt Schlamm gabs viel Sonne und Staub – zeitweise herrschten auf der Frauenfelder Allmend schon fast Death-Valley-artige Verhältnisse.
Selbstverständlich nahm die Hitze auch Einfluss auf die Outfits der Festivalbesucher. Anstatt Regenjacke lieber nur Sport-BH, anstatt T-Shirts lieber Tattoos zeigen.

Apropos Style: die Crowd in Frauenfeld ist definitiv Fan der 90er-Jahre. Zu sehen gab es Throwback-Basketball-Jerseys und Oldschool Sneakers, so weit das Auge reicht:
Und wenn wir schon bei den Sneakers sind: dieses Jahr haben wir dem Openair Frauenfeld ganz genau auf die Füsse geschaut. Welche Schuh-Trends sich festmachen liessen, seht ihr hier.
Doch auch wenn die meisten Besucher äusserlich äussert trendy daherkommen, innerlich sind sie überraschend nerdig. Oder wer würde schon Spongebob- und «Dungeons & Dragons»-Fans in Frauenfeld erwarten?
Am Openair Frauenfeld gilt: maximale Publikumspartizipation
Quizfrage: Was passiert, wenn ein Rapper spontan das Publikum auf die Bühne einlädt? Genau: eine Bühneninvasion. So geschehen beim Auftritt von «Panda»-Rapper Desiigner.
Leider lief die Situation innert kürzester Zeit aus dem Ruder – und weil niemand die Bühne wieder verlassen wollte (oder vielleicht war «Get off the stage, now!» einfach ein ZU komplizierter Aufruf?), musste der Gig vorzeitig abgebrochen werden.
Da hatten andere das Publikum weitaus mehr im Griff. Die 257ers aus Essen zum Beispiel, die sich mit der Crowd einen ganz besonderen Spass erlaubten. Alle in die Hocke, alle warten auf den Drop... doch dann passiert etwas Unerwartetes:
Sowieso gab es dieses Jahr wieder unzählige Momente, in denen das Frauenfeld-Publikum so richtig Ausrasten durfte. Der absolute Meister: Travis Scott.
